Landing | Air Canada 777-300ER arrival into London Heathrow
A bit of a breezy arrival into London Heathrow on an Air Canada 777-300ER from Vancouver on Monday 17th February 2020. The UK was still feeling the after effects of Storm Dennis, and the skipper wanted the cabin prepared earlier than usual because of the chop.
A relatively smooth run back across the Pond, however, and joy of joys I had an empty row to myself - never had one on long-haul flights so happy days! Crew were a little scarce with drinks, but as most people were sleeping anyway I didn't mind that. Especially as, with my empty row, I could just get up and go to the galley at my leisure.
I also had a new IFE screen layout on this flight, compared to the flight out. I liked it and thought it was crisp, though there will be some critics I'm sure...

happens on every single aircraft and airline, it’s just the g-forces, gravity’s trying to pull you down but the planes more powerful at takeoff, which results in you feeling like you’re being glued to your seat. you kinda feel it in an elevator, but an elevator isn’t a huge metal machine with jet engines 💀
